Oklahoma City Area Volleyball Clubs Join Forces
Two great youth volleyball clubs have merged to create a very strong club representing the Oklahoma City, Moore, Norman and surrounding areas. Oklahoma Wind, Inc, based in Oklahoma City and Oklahoma Edge, based in Moore, announce this merger effective immediately.
Janet Brannon, Southmoore Head Volleyball Coach and Director of Players and Coaches for Oklahoma Edge says that "This new partnership will be of great value to many young boys and girls with regards to being able to compete across Oklahoma and nationally. Edge has a great reputation and Wind has an abundant resource of amazing leadership. By combining these two clubs together, we have created a very strong brand which should churn out competitive boys and girls volleyball teams for many years."
The official name of the newly established partnership will be Oklahoma Edge Sports Academy, Inc. and will focus on not only volleyball, but Special Olympics basketball as well as youth volleyball leagues, clinics and private instruction. John Batley, President of Oklahoma Wind says "This is a wonderful partnership and is done with only the kids best interests in mind. We look forward to many years of growth in serving the youth in Oklahoma with regards to sports."
